Router whitelisting

Overcoming firewall challenges

In some hotels, firewalls may block the Valpas guest room technology from connecting to the internet. To ensure continuous connectivity and maintain your Valpas certification, please add the Valpas router to your list of trusted devices. This process is known as whitelisting.

Whitelisting instructions (for IT administrators)

Please provide the following details to your IT team:

  • Gateway eth0 MAC address: Provided by Valpas

  • Port forwarding (if needed): Open the following ports:

    • 22

    • 80

    • 443

    • 1883

    • 8883

  • Protocol: TCP
