# Certification

See your certification status and make it visible to guests, search and buyers

The **Certification** page shows whether your hotel is Valpas-certified bed bug-safe, and gives you everything you need to make that certification visible: on your website, in Google and AI search, at your property and in your RFPs.

Open it from **Certification** in the left-hand menu of the [desktop dashboard](https://app.valpashotels.com/certification). It replaces the former Label page.

{% hint style="info" %}
A certification only works for you when people can see it. Hotels that show the Valpas label on their website see 8–12% higher direct booking conversion. Make sure to be in contact with our team and add it to your [booking page](/using-valpas-the-desktop-dashboard/distribution.md#direct-bookings).
{% endhint %}

## Your certification status

The top of the page shows your current status:

| Status          | What it means                                                                |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Active** | You are certified and your certification is visible in at least one place. |
| **Passive** | You are certified, but nothing is visible yet. Start with the website label. |
| **In progress** | Valpas is resolving your case. Certification follows once you are eligible. |

## Get certified

Your certification rests on three criteria:

* **Pest and pesticide history disclosed:** verified when you join Valpas
* **SafeSleep technology in every guest room**
* **Every room checked around the clock:** always on

If a criterion is not met, click **Book a support call** to talk it through with the Valpas team for 15 minutes.

## Make it visible

Four places carry your certification. Each one shows whether it is in place, with a button to set it up:

| Where                     | What it does                                                                                                                            | Button         |
| ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------- |
| **Website label** | Shows the Valpas label on your website. See [Label for website](/add-your-certification-to-your-website-and-otas/label-for-website.md). | **Install** |
| **Search and AI schema** | A short code block for your homepage that tells Google and AI assistants your hotel is bed bug-safe. | **Add schema** |
| **On-property materials** | Reception banner and lapel pins, delivered in 1–2 weeks at no cost to you. | **Order** |
| **RFP kit** | Ready-to-paste lines and label artwork for RFPs, sales decks and email signatures. | **Open kit** |

{% hint style="success" %}
The label and the schema are pasted into your website by whoever manages it. Both dialogs have an **Email steps to my webmaster** button that sends them everything they need.
{% endhint %}

## Share your certificate

Click **Share certificate** at the top of the page whenever a client, travel manager or partner asks for proof. Tell us what it is for, then choose a format:

* **PDF certificate:** one page, for email and tenders
* **Image:** PNG, for presentations and listings
* **Verification link:** shows your live status 24/7

The certificate always states your real, current status and includes a verification link, so a recipient can check it at any time.

## Several hotels

If your account covers more than one hotel, choose **All hotels** in the hotel switcher at the top of the page to see how many are certified and which ones need your attention. Click **Open** on a hotel to go to its own certification page.
